The Mama Toolkit – Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 September 2026

These terms apply when you use themamatoolkit.com.au or buy any of our products. By purchasing or downloading a guide, you agree to them.

1. About our guides

The Mama Toolkit creates guides, checklists and tools to support mothers and families. Our content draws on research, lived experience and practical strategies. It is general information only, written for educational and self-reflection purposes.

2. Not professional advice

Our guides are not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis or treatment. In particular:

  • Medical: Nothing in our guides is medical advice. Always talk to your GP, midwife, obstetrician, child health nurse or another qualified health professional about your own or your child's physical health, including pregnancy, birth, recovery, feeding and sleep.
  • Mental health: Our content about wellbeing, identity, stress, burnout and emotional load is not psychological or psychiatric advice, therapy or counselling. If you are struggling, please speak with your GP, a psychologist or another mental health professional.
  • Legal: Content about workplace rights, parental leave, the motherhood penalty, separation or relationships is general information only. It is not legal advice. Laws change and depend on your circumstances, so please get advice from a qualified lawyer, Fair Work or another appropriate service.
  • Financial: Content about money, superannuation, household budgets or the financial impact of parenting is general information only. It does not take your personal circumstances into account and is not financial advice. Speak with a licensed financial adviser or accountant before making financial decisions.
  • Parenting and child development: Our parenting content is general guidance. Every child and family is different. If you have concerns about your child's health, development or behaviour, talk to a qualified professional.

Using our guides doesn't create a professional relationship between you and The Mama Toolkit. Please don't ignore professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you've read in our materials.

3. If you need support now

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 000.

For support with perinatal mental health or emotional wellbeing:

4. Your responsibility

You're responsible for how you use the information in our guides and for any decisions you make. You know your own situation best, so please use your judgement and adapt suggestions to suit your family.

5. Accuracy

We work hard to make our content accurate and up to date when it's published. However, research, guidelines and laws change, and we can't guarantee that every piece of information is complete or current. Where we refer to or link to outside organisations or resources, we don't control their content and aren't responsible for it.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Mama Toolkit isn't liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from your use of our guides or website, or from relying on their content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Licence and copyright

All guides, tools, templates, text and designs are owned by The Mama Toolkit and protected by copyright. When you buy a guide, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to download, print and use it for your own household.

You may not:
